Slytherin Slytherin is the Hogwarts house founded by Salazar Slytherin. The house values pure blood and sly, cunning. Most dark wizards were in Slytherin if they went to Hogwarts. Salazar Slytherin wanted only pure-bloods to be excepted into Hogwarts. This created a rift between him and the other founders of Hogwarts. When Slytherin left left the school he did not tell them that he had createda secret chamber containing a hideous monster (The Chamber of Secrets). The monster was supposed to rid the school of muggleborns when the Chamber was opened by Slytherins heir. To open the chamber of secrets you have to speak Parsletounge. Tom Riddle opened the chamber the first time although it was blamed on Hagrid. |
